THURSDAY: early arrivals - 4:30 PM meet and greet Hotel* lobby
6:30 Cocktails at Jerry & Jimmie Ann Brown 2618 Centenary.
8:00 Dinner at Antica Osteria 2311 Bissonnet .
FRIDAY: Our Arch class will NOT have a planned meeting, which means you will have the flexibility to attend any of the RU official events, such as:
5 - 6:30 PM Architecture Dept Open House - Anderson Hall (hint: park at Cohen and walk back)
6 PM Golden Reunion Diner - Cohen House across the quad behind Sewall Hall (most are attending) Dress Code: dressy, but not formal. Suspenders optional.
8:30 PM All-Alumni Party - Anderson-Clarke Center
SATURDAY: 9:00 AM Student Center for coffee (optional)
10:30 AM Anderson Hall. Meet with Dean Whiting to discuss the purpose for which our class contribution might best be used. This meeting is non-compulsory.
11:15 AM Lunch break
1:00 PM Anderson Hall. We have received permission to have our show and tell in the Farish Gallery.** We will start alphabetically. We have the room from 11 until 3. You are not required to bring anything except of course photos of grandkids. If you do want to present, try to keep it to 10 minutes.***
Catered lunch is a remote possibility, more info later.
** This arrangement took a surprising amount of work to coordinate. Helen gets all the credit.
*** Bring photo/video files on USB, compatible with Windows, to be projected on wall similar to last reunion. (It's perfectly fine to present in any other way you are comfortable - my laptop is set up for USB) I do NOT have a backup plan if my computer or the projector fails.
Note: Football game attendees will need to make their own schedule
Saturday evening:
5:30 Class of 65 Postgame Party - Weiss President's House.
7:00 Meet at the Raven Grill, 1916 Bissonnett (Kent Street runs into the restaurant 6 blocks north of the campus) for apertifs. 7:30 dinner. Casual dress: jeans, khakis, sportshirts, overalls.
SUNDAY morning: 9:00 AM breakfast at la Madeleine, Rice Univ Village. Early? Hang around the entry till there are 6-8 of you, then 1/3 get in line and the other 1/2 put some tables together. 20+ chairs needed.
